Five pieces in context of Gallery show
De la Discorde, on display at CODE+MATTER, 2025.

”De la Discorde” is a volume with two different entry points, each representing one side of the struggle, with its own viewpoint and all the subjective choices this implies. Each step in the fight is a new layer, with a new direction to argue about. There was however one state where everything was fine…

Prototype for De la Discorde

Each cube is made of a series of laser-cut acrylic sheets mounted on mechanical grade steel axis. In the middle, one colored layer is whole and has a clear square shape in its middle. Each layer going outside adds a set of cuts to the shapes, as a symbol of an action that happened to hurt one side in this battle between the two sides.

The color of the cube represents the energy of the cuts in the algorithm. Colder colors results in cuts that are close to each other while warmer colors gives chaotic cuts, creating more complex shapes.
